Central Supply Coordinator
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the front desk services in taking inquiries, providing information to the public, providing administrative support to the Administrator and Nursing staff of the Care Center and for maintaining medical supply inventory. This position serves as the first contact to visitors, vendors, staff and residents in answering all inquiries in a professional manner.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
Answer and direct all incoming calls.
Greet, assist, and direct all visitors, families, and residents appropriately.
Assist in coordinating admission procedures.
Immediately respond to Resident Emergency/Call System and take appropriate action.
Manage front desk information, such as mail distribution, delivering faxes, coordinating training room, and updating the Safety Chart.
Manage the central supply program to maintain supply par levels and accurately track supplies being dispensed.
Coordinate the monthly billing for medical supplies in the SNF.
Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Preferred Attributes:
Knowledge of the health care field with one (1) year experience in a similar position.
Clerical skills, good phone technique, and excellent communication skills.
Must have a pleasant and friendly personality and professional demeanor.
Ability to handle stressful situations with dignity and professionalism.
